What was your first anime?
I know this is an action group, lolz, but I just remembered my VERY first anime. Back when I was like 5, I think, I saw this movie called Totoro. It was a story about two children meeting a giant magical raccoon. Yeah, it doesn't sound very exciting, but its worth a look; because I got hooked to anime after seeing Totoro! :) And the rest is anime history. How about yours? What was your first anime and how'd you get to see it?
Reply to this TopicWell, I grew up in the '80s with Astroboy and Robotech, but those don't count ;) so I'll say Genisis Survivor Gaiarth. All I can remember anymore is a guy on a robot ostridge finds an ancient and powerful robot named Xaxxon and they have to save the world. I heard it was rereleased this year for the 25th aniversery but I haven't found it yet.
well it wasnt my first anime maybe it was the third but definetly the best dragonball and all other series connected to it
mine was sailor moon way back then when i was like 4 but then they cancelled it...
I saw that one too pinoy. Love ur pic btw, very funny. My first ever animes were: Sailor Moon & Pokemon (twitch). My first action anime was Gundam Wing but I think DBZ came not long after.

YES!!!! My neighbour totoro right? I love that film, its a studio ghibli film aint it? Have you seen the others, kiki's delivery service, my fav howls moving castle, Nausica valley of the wind, princess mononoke and all them? They are all dubbed and subbed on veoh tv!!!! My first ever anime was Urusei Yatsura when i was really young but the first anime i saw before i really got hooked a couple of years ago was Now and then, here and there. It is on veoh tv and i was like OMG!!! Its starts of really nice and stuff and then the action starts and it is pretty shockin really. The anime that TRUELY won me over and made me an anime maniac, addict, freakazoid, lover, obssesive watcher and so on was the vision of escaflowne. The first ever anime i got on box set and it is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The fight scenesare just fantastic etc ^.^ xxxxx
Yes, they are studio Ghibli films. I've seen almost all of them that are eng dubs. My fav is Spirited Away. Thanks for reminding me of escaflowne Max. OMFG.. I forgot Ronin Warriors!
Definitely Sailor Moon, then Dragon Ball Z (maybe the other way around, I was like 3 or 4...yeh..young) Afterward I saw....*drum roll* HAMTARO!!!!!!!! Ya know! The crazy little hamster? lol! ^____^
