Everybody got hooked on almost all of the same. I used 2 sing to the hamtoro theme

yea same here. first was sailor moon, then dragon ball z, and hamtaro!!!

I see alotta Hamtaro, DBZ and Sailormoon as first animes. O: And yes Max, I've seen a couple of those movies.. Like Howl's Moving Castle, Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, etc. Those were masterpieces. XD For those of you who wanna see good anime movies, go see those movies. You'll gain Otaku experience points in no time! XD

mine was, of course Pokemon, the first season....yes i know its pretty lame-ish but it was so awsome at the time (i was around 4, kindergarden) a few months later and i saw DBZ, didn't understand what was goin on, but it was kool...so yea...

The first anime I actually got into hardcore was Neon Genesis Evangelion (and for all of you who have seen the series, no, I did not watch it because of Rei, Asuka, and Misato, although that was a plus. I have seen Totoro a few times, and I would like to say that I do not know quite what it is, but I don't think it is a raccoon. It was a good movie, and I have seen and liked the more recent works from Hiyoa Miyazaki (spellcheck needed on name), but they did not inspire my anime obsession like Evangelion. It is my favorite!!

Well...there are a couple different answers to this....the first anime I WATCHED was sailor moon at my baby sitters when I was little, but, the anime that really got me to like anime was Poke'mon/Dragon Ball Z. I started watching them at about the same time. Soon after that I started liking Inuyasha, and it just went on from there.
