IE7 hack
I'm not sure,because I don't use IE7. Add *:first-child+html before your selector for FF. e.g. #veohPage .labelText { color:blue; } *:first-child+html #veohPage .labelText { color:red;} Othew browsers ignore this block,because html tag apears as the first tag. I heard that IE7 does not ignore it by bug. But it should not be used so much,I think.
Reply to this TopicIs this to use selectors in IE7 that were not available in that browser? That would be useful, I think there is a profile selector that appears after a a user is followed which wasn't selectable in IE7.
It is a method for divided description of the selector in each browser. "*:first-child+html" is an illegal selector and browsers have to ignore such a block(section),so other browsers ignore this block. It is available in only IE7. So if you want to a selector for only IE7, add it. You can find a detail information of this hack by google,maybe.
OH so you can have different CSS in either one, thats good, since some positions are off in IE7. That makes IE7 much less annoying. I want to have a browser specific greeting.
Amazing, Chemera-sensei! This is the breakthrough of the year. My page had differences in the position of some crucial sections between browsers however this trick lets you fix them special for IE7. Thanks this is great.
