7/10 (Yoshimori and Yukimura are Kekkaishi, left with the task of guarding karasumori, a mysterious power buried within school grounds, monsters, assassins to organizations constantly come to in search to steal the power for their own dubious deeds. And to make it worse karasumori appears to be involved in a twisted conspiracy! Can the kekkaishi team shrive trough the madness!?)
This shounen anime is in unique in the fact that they use no swords at all, only box shaped barriers, the school defense arc's may get repetitive after awhile but bare with it! i highly suggest reading the manga where the anime left off, once you reach chapter 275 it gets exciting from there.
Ever been watching Naruto or Bleach and think to yourself I wish there was an anime like this without all the stupid fillers and battles that seem to last forever, well welcome to your new favorite anime Kekkaishi. while Kekkaishi may not offer anything unique or ground breaking to the Shonen anime scene, what it pulls off better than most anime's in it's genre is that it stays consistent with the story for the better part of the series,
through all 50 episodes of this anime not once did I ever get bored, as the action, comedy, and romance scenes are given the right amount of time without ever getting dull or overdone, only complaint is the abrupt ending which definitely could have been expanded further on, but 1 minor complaint that shouldn't stop you from watching this incredible Shonen anime.
