A lot of people know the voice actor (or seiyu) for Himura Kenshin (27-year old male) is actually a female, who also voices Baiken in the Guilty Gear X and X2 games; but I just found out that the Japanese Orochimaru's seiyu is actually a female too with a very hoarse voice! She is actually one of my favorite voice actors from Japan and all this time I pictured her as an eccentric man @_@ Well, you just gained 1000 Otaku EXP!
I sort of had a retard moment not too long ago. My favorite character is the Major from Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, when I looked up her real name to see how to spell it, I realized that I was calling her "Makoto" instead of "Motoko" but in my defense, they don't say her real name that much in the anime. And I also realized last year that the english voice actor for Spike Spiegel, Steven Blum is the Samuel L. Jackson of voice acting. He's in everything.
what you didn't know about anime
