i watch cartoon network, but you have all of these cruddy shows like flapjack, camp lazlo, fried dynamite, and stuff like that. then the anime shows like pokemon and bakugan come on either early in the morning or on saturday nights on toonami or adultswim. i think america needs its own anime network like japan does instead waiting and watching through all those cruddy american animation shows.
Amen on that! It's annoying as heck going from Cartoon to Anime back to cartoon as it does oh so often. I do like the show Chowder though. It's entertaining...random, but just wanted to say. :)
Even if we did get some good anime's they'd be poorly dubbed, very seldom are they dubbed correctly, and if they are dubbed correctly the voice acting is always terrible. What I wish is that we could air subbed anime's but that will never happen. BTW they just started playing Guren Lagan on HBO I believe about 2 days ago. I watched the first episode to see if they messed up the dialogue but I was surprised to see it wasn't. So you can watch that maybe and I they also play Samurai 7, Ergo Proxy and 2 other animes as well.
Man that would totally make my day!!! If we (US) had some sort of Anime network Im sure that their ratings would increase dramatically, as for why they still have no channel for that? is beyond me...Maybe there is some kind of petition out there to start this anime network...
There's anime networks on Satellite. Cartoon Network is using anime to promote themselves and other shows, so they won't easily create/allow a competing channel to take their anime fans from their regular channel, nor will cable companies risk such a channel as they think its a fad (which is ignorant). Such a channel may come about when anime is more popular than anything on the CN, maybe five-ten years from now. But anime is not the most popular thing on CN, believe it or not (its Family Guy/other shows).
fshracr is right, there is an anime channel but you have to pay extra for it. but I did discover something interesting, apparently theres an asian channel where they show SUBBED anime instead of dubbed. I dont know how frequently they show anime but I do know that I saw some anime(forgot name) in japanese with subbs on saturday 10:00 pm
american tv

I have Charter Digital Cable and I'm pretty sure there is an anime channel, but you have to pay extra for it, so I don't know what shows there are.
