I always thought it was american animation but lately I've been seeing people putting it with anime.
ya its american animation, sence theres no japanese ver, and its only on cartoon net work, which is an American thing...
avatar definately qualifies as american animation, but I'm glad they made it that way. if it was anime, then a single fight would last like 20 episodes, like dragonball z or something.
