Richard Thompson ("RT") - guitar player, songwriter, singer, genius. Born 3 April 1949 in Notting Hill, London. A founder member of seminal folk-rock band, Fairport Convention, in 1967. Left Fairport in January 1971 and released his first solo album, "Henry The Human Fly", in 1972. From 1972 until 1982 released six studio albums with his then-wife, Linda Thompson including the classics, "I Want To See The Bright Lights Tonight" (1974) and "Shoot Out The Lights" (1982). Since 1981 RT has released over 30 albums both solo and in collaboration with other musicians. He regularly tours both as a solo artist and with his band.
