With everyone on VEOH being from around the world and me only knowing english and a few words from other languages, I want to learn to speak to others from other places without it having to be in english only..................... anyone else?
Please tell me how to ask, " Where is a restroom?" (toilet, bathroom, facilities) That is an important phrase to know. When I travel with several small children I need to know this.
thank you I almost deleted this post. I thought it might have been offensive. The only word I know is "banjo" ( ban yo ) spanish for bathroom. Only what I have learned from high school spanish. I have forgotten more than I learned
Well if you ever travel to Greece , here 's how to ask ''Where is the restroom''.
''Πού είναι η τουαλέτα;'' ''Pou ei-nai i tou-a-le-ta?'' it would be more polite to say in the beginning ''Συγνώμη;'' ''Signomi?'' which means ''Excuse me?'' and then ask where the restroom is.Hope I helped!^-^
well if you come to germany you can say:"Entschuldigung, wo ist hier die Toilette?"(Toilette you speak it : Tolette). that is the polite way because Entschuldigung is in english excuse me. or you can simply say: entschulgigung, wo ist hier das Klo? i think both ways are good and the people will understand:)
where is the bathroom? in spanish is"donde esta el baño" you can also say"me puede decir donde esta el baño" that is spanish for can you tell me where the bathroom is? if you need something else just ask^_^
Ok, here is 'where is the toilet' etc in Hungarian, with a polite "excuse me" to begin with:
Elnézést! Hol van a WC?
pronounced:
el-ness-est hol van a v-c
you can substitute WC for toilet as they use it the same as we do!....both verbally and physically! :)
If I ever travel to your country....
