...looks badass. Fewer gadgets but more moves and environmental interactivity make for a far more visceral experience, in my opinion; it's like their paring down the excesses yet opening up possibilities at the same time. Plus, I just can't get enough of hiding in plain sight a la MGS3 or Assassin's Creed. Plenty of "Heh... sucker" moments as your adversaries walk right by you.
I just want it to come out soon so I don't need to listen to the PS3 owners raving about MGS4 for long. Ubisoft has quickly become on of my favorite developers with Prince of Persia, Assassin's Creed, and Splinter Cell (the odd numbered ones).
I can't wait to play this game too. I have played all the games and loved all of them. My favorite one is Chaos theory, it would be great if conviction ends up being better than that.
It could take a long time before it's released, because Ubisoft has gone back to the drawing board. I don't know why, but there's a rumour about the voice actor that he left the team. Some people say he's difficult to work with.
Well, that's all I know.
BTW, I'm not a Splinter Cell fan, but I am a MGS fan.
NOOOO PLEASE DON'T TELL ME THAT MICHAEL IRONSIDE WON'T VOICE SAM ANYMORE! I fell in love with his voice when I played the games, it would just seem weird if they changed Sam's voice actor.
Splinter Cell: Conviction...

It's a rumour, so I don't know if that's true. But they did went back to the drawing board.
