- Description
- This film will crack you up...It was a good night for FSB (Funk Soul & Blues) on May 21 of 1998 in New York City. Jon Hammond brought his band in to the SAVOY LOUNGE on 41st St. across from Port Authority Bus Terminal and next to Carroll Music Instrument Rental & Studios where all the cats rehearsed: On tenor sax Todd Anderson, Joris Dudli on drums, Barry Finnerty guitar and Jon Hammond at the B3 organ playing some of Jon Hammond's classic Funk Soul compositions 'Head Phone' and end of 'Nu Funk ('Hip Hop Chitlins'). Drummer Bernard Purdie had just walked in and the joint was jumping. RIP Savoy Lounge NYC!
