The winners are... Large Community-The City of Albuquerque won for AlbuquerqueGreen, a comprehensive sustainability plan that provides vision and tools for the city to become a model for energy conservation, clean energy production, use, and conservation technologies. Mid-Size Community-The Chapel Hill-Carrboro Chamber is honored for creating the Foundation for a Sustainable Community, which invests in business and community resources to promote environmental stewardship, social equity, and economic prosperity. Small Community - The City of Kingsport won for efforts to revitalize the manufacturing town through combination of training/workforce development, entrepreneurism, and diversification of the economic base.
