- Description
- Sugamo, or as it is otherwise known "Old Ladies Harajuku," is one of my favorite spots in Tokyo. Especially on the 4th, 14th and 24th of each month when a special festival is held. The main street, Jizo-dori fills with street vendors, mainly catering to the elderly population. But due to the nostalgic tastes of the elderly who gather there alot of the stuff to be found is unique compared to other areas of Tokyo. I sampled one of the "unique" foods of yesteryear. My God... why!?!? But, on the whole a good time was had. By all I suppose except the guy being put in the ambulance at the end. Music: Al Green - "Old Time Lovin" More info: http://www.okada.de/archive-japanasitis/sugamo/sugamo.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sugamo http://photoguide.jp/pix/thumbnails.php?album=549
