Just thought I would share with everyone that I got invited to do my first book signing tomorrow (December 7). Good thing I have books on hand or I would have been in a awkward situation. So wish me luck ^_^

How'd the sighn' go? I think it was Stephen King who said book signings were his favorite and least favorite thing. Favorite because he met his fans. His least favorite because he met all of wierd fans as well.

It went alright but because it was at the fairgrounds and there were venders there selling everything and whatnot, it didn't generate much traffic, mostly because I don't think anyone know that I was there. I actually was sharing a booth with a friend and her stuff was up front and the center of attention but she also was the one who spent $600 in fees and paid for the booth and stuff. My philosophy, Beggers can't be Chosers and to be happy with whatever life brings your way ^_^

One of the greatest horror writers who ever lived was HP Lovecraft. Whenever he traveled he would just live on crackers and soda water because it was all he could afford. While alive he made an average of 25 cents a word...in todays money about a dollar under minimum wage. But His stories have not went out of print for the last 70 years! One of my favorite movies is Boondock Saints. It's opening day box office was reputed to be a total of $36,000 which was 1/3 what it cost to make. By word of mouth alone, ten years later it is among the top 200 or so dvds for sale and has had special editions made that sell for $40 buck each. So hang in there toots. Ya gotta start somewhere!
