"Wakarimasen" is "I don't understand", or "I don't know" depending on the context.

Lackor had it almost exactly right, but I never said I liked them. Like is "suki" pronounced "ski". "Dai" means "big" or "lots" so it can be used as a prefix to add emphasis. "kawaii" is cute, add "dai" and it literally means "big cute" or "lots cute". You can also add it to like "daisuki" which changes like, to love. "Big like!"

Heh, I'm still quite terrible at it. The best I can say is that I think I grasp the grammatical structure of the language, but I know very few words, and can barely string a sentence together. I could probably keep up a decent conversation with a 5 year old native Japanese person.

Otou-san, nanika tabenai desu! (Mommy, I want something to eat)

Shit, I meant "oka-san" "otou-san" is daddy. Can't even get that right.

I should just stop making a fool of myself by attempting japanese sentences. I said "tabenai" which means "don't want to eat". So I said "Daddy, I don't want to eat something". I can't remember how to say I do want. I think it is something like "tabetai" but I can't figure out how to spell it, which likely means I've been pronouncing it wrong.

They don't bother me at all. I love 'em <3 ^^ Deleting them will only decrease the number of discussions to my group and I'm trying to raise the number.
