2010's New Anime Zone

"What the hell kind of manga does he read?" is a question that I'm guessing some of you might ask, but here's the thing. Not all of his manga was "obscene" just some of it, and out of those manga it was only some pages in the manga that was "obscene". Although I don't really know how "obscene" something has to be in order for you to get arrested. I do know that this case is downright stupid!

That does not make any sense to me and I also think that this is just like the Mapp v. Ohio case that was also stupid.

Now this is a discussion haha. With all the sick shit out on newstands and in movies, whats in this manga that is so bad? I think he had hardcore lolicon or shota (kid hentai), and that is pretty obscene lol. I'm not sure what the penalty for that should be, its not ok, but prison time for hardcore lolicon would be way too much. It is just a fantasy, they're not doing anything to any real people. But then, I kind of feel like people who accept or take pornographic pics of REAL little kids should be punished severely, so I'm undecided on what should happen to manga lolicons who get caught. btw does anyone think hardcore lolicon is the same level as real kiddie porn? I think its nowhere near as bad, but some do, and when you say no, people tend to think you're being too light or that you endorse it, but when you say yes others think you can't separate fantasy from reality *shakes head*

Uv got 2 b Fn kidding me! This whole thing is messed up and if he loses the case and gets thrown in jail, we'll all have 2 start watching our backs... i mean, seriously... "obscene" is already too broad a term and losing in this case will only make it worse. They might as well ban any and all manga and anime from the US! Yep, that's right... burn all ur manga and anime dvds, delete everything manga and anime related on ur comp, and never even mention those words again or risk getting thrown in jail!

omg, this is sad, did they carbon date the ink to make sure the pic was old enough. wtf is going on, true some stuff can be disgusting and questionable(hell ive found some stuff on veoh like that and just backed out of the page), but where will they draw the line (no pun intended)can you tell the age of a cartoon character by looking at it(the 20 yr old teacher who looks 12 is a classic joke in a lot of anime ), and from what i understand it was not even received by him yet, was opened at the post office for inspection (what led them to check it out to start with), did he even know that there may have been questionable material in it to start with? this is just wrong no matter how you look at it.

Canada has worse moralists? I didn't know that. I thought it was really liberal up there. Oh but some manga is really obscene and its obvious, like Mai Chan's Daily Life, where a fetus gets raped then thrown in a blender, and the main character gets skull-screwed alive, however, the manga is actually meant to be a shock joke, not hardcode guro pornography to fap to (unless you're REALLY sick).
