- January 13th 1983, Air Florida Flight 90 takes of from Washington DC during a snow storm. As it takes off the plane shakes violently and loses power before stalling. It drops from the sky hitting a road bridge before crashing into the Potomac River. 74 people on the plane are dead and 4 more are killed on the bridge. 5 people survive the crash.
