I think that it's at least a game and I did like Gantz very much, especially when Kei grows some ball and starts fighting like a man, it kinda pissed me off when he kept being scared but you would react the same way if you where in his shoes. :P all in all it was one the really good shows I watched.

Judging form your name I assume you have watched Gantz and I would like to ask were you satisfied with the ending? I for one was not and I read reviews about the Manga that said that Gantz has way more to offer the the Anime,they really should have made it into a 52 episode series instead of two 13 episode season. I just hate when they do that. :(
