Ads (in groups)
How do you move them?
Reply to this TopicThere are many ways to move them, the two methods I use: (Meiji Era) decrease #browse and #veohPage to smaller widths (around 500px) to push the ad below your discussions/videos container. The ad seems to be affected by those two sections. In this group, I just do the opposite, make the page so wide it pushes the ad to the right. I've seen other pages move them but I didn't look into it. There may be better, easier ways. I think there were codes to influence the ad more directly but they were disabled.
btw I don't think its a good idea to move ads off the page completely, if a staff member saw that, they'd probably move to alter our group CSS or other freedoms to protect their interests (advertisers who pay them want their ads visible and they have an obligation to them).
Gator Zone gave me the code to remove it. So what is the exact code to move them over to the right. I can't see Moka's face in the Archive without moving or removing it.
That Advertisement box can remove "height:0;" or "width:0;", because "display:none;" is not effective. #rightAdColumn, #rightAdColumn * { height: 0px; width: 0px; border: 0 none; }
"border:0 none;" is necessary,because that box has border.
Did you try the selector Chemera posted? You can try "float: right" or positioning and margin codes to achieve a desired result. I don't know if it is effective though, since it is not effected by a "display:none" code. Anyhow, I don't move it, I increase or decrease the width of the selectors I posted, since its fixed to the right side of them, it will move with them.
I got it.
