Tenchi Muyo is my fav silly anime that is an old series. Saw that you like H2O foot prints in the sand that was a good one. Have you seen "True Tears" it came out at same time as H2O and "Air" is another one.. Fav. Strange and blood and guts would be "Elfin Lied". Fav Vampire ones are "Hellsing" and "Vampire Knight" Theres a few for you to check out if you had not already.
My favorite of all time is Sailor Moon, also some other good ones are Inuyasha, Mermaid Melody Picci Picci Pitch, Kamichama Karin, Full Moon Wo Sagashite, Tokyo Mew Mew, Fruits Basket, Shugo Chara! and Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles.
Sorry I forgot to say why I like them. I tend to like ones with romance in them, especially if they people have obstacles to overcome in order to be with each other and also I like ones with magical girls :)
